23 for 2023

Okay, okay so… this post is a tad late this year (better late than never, right?). This time last year I was in a major funk. I was just so utterly exhausted from the prior two years of the pandemic that I admittedly was struggling to have high hopes for 2022. Then out of nowhere 2022 turned out to be one of the most wonderful, exciting, and unexpected years for me. As it turns out, some damn amazing things can happen when we don’t completely close ourselves off. 2023 is already shaping up to be an eventful year, but I still plan on accomplishing some things along the way. Here’s my 23 for 2023:

1. Write daily-even one sentence.

2. Read daily- even one page.

3. Read at least 2 history books from my TBR pile

4. Read at least 1 “classic”

5. Keep book & movie notes/ highlights for things I read/watch

6. Get proper luggage set

7. Try new recipe weekly

8. Shred old paperwork

9. Set up file/document organization

10. Attempt 1000 hours outside

11. More smoothies

12. More greens

13. Continue to explore locally (parks, gardens, & cities)

14. Move into my own apartment

15. Try local yoga studios & pick one for regular classes

16. More barre classes

17. Monthly massages

18. Hang/ display more art and things I love

19. Create essential travel kits/doubles for easy packing

20. Make wishlist for future apartment

21. Clean out camera roll monthly

22. Plan a trip for second half of year

23. Organize purse & create essential kits for easy bag swaps

These lists don’t have to be epic or life altering. Look at it as an incentive to kick start the year on a positive note while also ticking off some things that you’ve “been meaning to get around to doing” for a while now. Here’s to 2023 🙂
